Redesigning IQVIA’s in-person trainings for physicians and care teams in order to successfully run clinical trials. To transform the experience from a “sit and get” format to a highly engaging and interactive learning experience while ensuring that the client meets all compliance requirements.
Strategic use of visuals and interactivity to maximize the learning experience:
- Tabletop exercise aimed at leveraging peer-to-peer learning to help physicians manage conversations with patients
- Large-format poster boards designed to bring the patient experience to life by combining imagery and narrative
- Replacement of multiple slides with a single, visual frame designed to communicate the complex and interrelated parts of the clinical trial study designs
- Videos focused on underscoring key messages in a dynamic and consistent manner
- Visuals enabled participants to take in more information faster and to stay more engaged
- Infographics effectively communicated the big picture so that physicians/caregivers could understand the why (not just the how) of necessary behavior change
- New approach shifted the meeting outcomes from “yes, I understand my to-dos” to “yes, I understand how I am an integral part of this clinical trial”
- Took advantage of in-person meeting to facilitate peer-to-peer learning
- Fostered deeper connection to patient experience
