Black lives matter. This is a concrete truth. We must do better.

The oppressive elements of our current system must be replaced with equality and justice for all. So today we, the Collective Next community, commit to the hard work of change by starting with ourselves.

First, we acknowledge that we have ignored our participation in perpetuating systemic racism. Our silence was not ok. Our inaction was not ok. We can no longer be complicit participants in a system of injustice. We must do better.

Second, we know that we are not equipped to navigate these complicated issues on our own. We will engage our entire organization in anti-racism training and take responsibility to put in the time and resource needed to enact real change within ourselves.

Finally, we will actively seek opportunities to use our influence to positively impact the world around us.

Change is a constant, but how we choose to change is up to us.
