This week the video for a TEDxBoston 2013 talk we supported for MIT researchers Steve Ramirez and Xu Liu was posted to the Web. In the talk, Steve and Xu detail their work in brain research, climaxing in their planting a false memory into the brain of the mouse. It’s not quite Inception, but that’s where that road is heading.

We figured their research was worth spreading at TEDxBoston. It turns out we’re not alone. This week’s Economist reports on their work, as does the BBC (which uses one of our graphics), the New York Times, and many others. You can read their paper, “Creating a False Memory in the Hippocampus,” here.
